My best friend Jeanette's daughter is having surgery right now for burns to the soles of her feet from rubber asphalt on a playground. Please pray for a speedy and full recovery.
Thursday night we went to a Stars game. It was Thirsty Thursday. $2 beer in really nice cups. We collect them for Camden. He loves them!
Our mascot is Homer the polecat. I always thought he was a skunk. I'm not sure what the difference is. Camden loves homer! He hugged and kisses him several times and he even got Homer to autograph his glasses case!
Our final Olympic event was put together by Grover's mom, Stephanie. The kids had to hop forwards & sideways over pool noodles and ten do dizzy Lizzie's. It was pretty funny because non of the kids put the end of the noodle on the ground when they did their dizzy Lizzie's. Camden just handed his noodle to Mrs.Gale!
Heath's mom, Jessica, came up with this fun game for the kids to play. They put on shower caps & googles and then we squirted shaving cream on their caps. Orange cheese puffs were handed out to the kids and then they chased each other around trying to toss them on each other's heads. It was pretty funny to watch!
Not only was there Olympic swimming, a life guard was at the party! Here are all the kids lined up to do their Olympic dive into the pool. The lifeguard went first. Her Olympic dive was called the "ease in" and she slowly backed Into the pool down the ladder. Haha!
On Wednesday, Camden's classmate, Richard, hosted an Olympic swimming play date at his house. Richard's mom, Beth, went all out with the decorations & food!
Olympic torches and flag fruit!
I am the mom of two incredible children: Camden Bradley, our beautiful little boy, and Carsyn Sabrina, our precious angel in heaven.
Camden was born on Aug. 12, 2008. He is a healthy little boy and we are so blessed to have him here with us.
Our first child, Carsyn, was born on Dec. 13, 2006, at 34 weeks. She passed away two days later from birth defects due to Trisomy 18. She is our angel in heaven, watching over her little brother.
Thanks to everyone who donated, supported and attended these events! The final total was a whopping $140,517 donated, that will go to Huntsville Hospital's NICU! That's awesome! The money will be used to purchase life-saving equipment like the state of the art Giraffe Omni beds. It also goes toward memory boxes for those unfortunate parents who do not get to take their babies home. Often, this box contains the only mementos they will ever have of their precious children. Thanks again for your support!
