Day at the Park

Yesterday was such a pretty day we decided to go up to Monte Sano State Park and check out the playground. Brad got off early from work so he was able to come with us. We had a good time enjoying the scenery and watching other kids play on playground. And of course, seeing Camden's first experience on the swings & seesaw.

Camden on Brad's shoulders. Right after this picture, Camden projectile spit-up. He has really gotten Brad good several times in the last week. Fortunately, I stepped back just in time.

Camden's first time on the swings. He liked it!

When I was holding Camden on the swings, he was fascinated with the chains.

As I was holding Camden in my lap he was playing with his rattle. When I looked down, he had managed to stick his foot through it!

On the seesaw. Camden thought this was the best! He loves to go up and down. He just laughs & laughs.

Roses for Mommy

My sweet husband brought me roses last week. I was having a difficult day and he surprised me with two dozen roses and a roll of Spree candy to cheer me up. Worked like a charm! A week later, my roses are still beautiful and they make me smile everytime I look at them.
Thank you, Brad!

I'm A Little Lobo

This is the outfit I got Camden for Christmas that says "I'm A Little Lobo!" It's like a big sweatshirt that they tried to make into a baby long-all. It's wider than it is long. Kind of funny looking. So that is why it looks so puffy & short on Camden. He promptly spit up all over it so it's
a good thing I snapped this picture before we ate!

Reminds me of the Stay-Puff Marshallow Man, in Red.
This is a rattle that Ron & Cindy Gray gave Camden. I had it squirreled away until he was big enough to use and I just pulled it out the other day. Camden loves it! It's just the right size and makes a nice rattle sound. Thanks Ron & Cindy!

This is a cute little outfit that came with a visor. I thought Camden would not want to wear it, but he didn't mind at all. He played in this little visor until it fell off.

In this close-up, you can see his hair sticking up over the visor. Reminds me so much of how his Daddy looks when he wears a visor! Too cute!

We met Daddy for a drink at BWW's at Mad Square. I had to snap a picture in this cute hat! Of course, Daddy put it on sideways to give Camden that gangsta look. Still cute, though! On a funny side note, Camden doesn't mind wearing hats at all. But he doesn't like to see people wearing hats. He started crying when Daddy came in the room wearing a ball cap one day. And the morning I took this picture, I put the hat on Camden while he was looking in the mirror and he immediately started crying! I took it off and he stopped! Back on, more crying! Too funny. Not sure what his aversion to hats is but hopefully he will outgrow it quickly!

Videos

Dad got us this cool little video camera for Valentine's Day. It's called a mino Flip Video. It is smaller than my cell phone and has a built in usb port so it's super easy to upload videos. These are a couple of videos we took just to check out the camera. Thanks Dad!

Buggy & Bath Time

This is the first time Camden sat in the buggy without his carseat. He was really excited about it. He did great at first, but got tired pretty quickly and was slumping over. I grabbed a little travel pillow and used it to prop him up and that worked well.
We also attempted sitting in a restaurant high chair today, but that didn't go as well. Camden still can't sit up by himself so the high chair was a little challenging. Doesn't he look pitiful?

Camden has been showing interest in feeding himself and actually does pretty well. Interestingly, the few times he has attempted to feed himself he has used his left hand. Daddy would be so happy if Camden was a lefty. The reason? Southpaws are very valuable as pitchers! Brad's mom is a lefty and his brother was too, so I guess there's a good chance Camden could be too.

For the last couple of months, Camden would scream bloody murder all through bath time. We could't get him out of there fast enough and we had no idea what the problem was. The last week or so has been much better, with minimal crying. Usually he just fusses a little right when we put him in the water. Thank goodness!

Mini Mohawk

Saturday was my Dad's birthday and we celebrated with dinner at Grille 29 & then listened to a band at the Flying Monkey Arts Center before heading to the Kaffeklatsch. Happy Birthday Granddaddy!

Green Eyes

The verdict is in and baby's got Green Eyes! They changed a couple of weeks ago, but this is the first photo I have been able to get where you can really see the color. I was really hoping for blues eyes, like Mommy, but of course, Daddy won out again. Oh well, Green Eyes are pretty, too. I think he's going to be catching a lot of ladies with those big green eyes.
Camden in his Mardi Gras outfit.

Camden being silly in his highchair. We put him in there when we are in the kitchen so he can see what we are doing.

As I have mentioned before, Camden loves to kick. He especially loves to kick us when we are feeding him. This is what a typical feeding looks like.

Catch Up Pics from February

A present from aunt Danielle. Nice, huh? As if Camden wasn't getting enough attention from strangers already. He is working that onesie, though!
Sweet Potatoes. Camden only gets this messy when Daddy feeds him.

Camden's Valentine's present from Grandma Paula.

Have you seen my monkey?

6 Month Picture with Raggedy Andy

Play time after Daddy gets home from work - our favorite time of day!

Camden can almost sit up by himself. Not much longer!

This is what I find most mornings. Camden has perfected the art of rolling on his belly in his sleep. He can turn over onto his back if he really tries, but he hasn't mastered it, yet. He is really good at holding his head up and looking around while laying on his stomach. Not only has Camden rolled over in this picture, he has also completely flipped directions. He started out with his head on the left side of the crib! And as a side note, Camden sure does have a big noggin! To think, when he was born his head was as round as a bowling ball! Hopefully, once he is sitting up on his own he will become less of a cone head! At least we got rid of the flat head, finally!

Just one of his many funny facial expressions. Babies are so much fun!
