Scarecrow Trail

Back in the fall, Nana took Camden to the Botanical Gardens for a Halloween event and to check out the scarecrow trail.
Camen playing in the ball pit.

ET Scarecrow. Apparently Cam wasn't too impressed.
Pizza face!
Squishy face!
Cam sucks his thumb and twirls his hair when he is tired.
A frog spitting water!
Catching the water!
Climbing the ladder in one of the tree houses.
A mini treehouse.
Pointing out cool stuff.
He was so worn out he fell asleep in the car on the way home. (Paula took the picture after they got home - that's why his harness is unbuckled.)

Thanks for taking him to the Bootanical Gardens, Nana!

"Hey! Hey! Monkey!"

When we were in Eagle, Camden started having conversations with his monkey backpack. He kept asking Monkey if he wanted to play outside with Camden.
One of the funniest conversations was in the car.
Camden: "Hey! Hey!" At this point we thought he was trying to get our attention, but NO.
Camden: "Hey, Monkey! Play outside?"
As you can see, he was concerned that he wasn't wearing his jacket, and then that Monkey didn't have a jacket.

Camden Funnies

On a recent trip to Walmart, Camden claimed it was nap time. So he lay down in the cart and made me cover him with the blanket. Of course this only lasted a few minutes, but it was still cute.

A couple of funny things:
Camden has started "requesting" that I sing along with the radio in the car. "Sing, Mommy, Sing!" Is what he tells me. He's picky about the songs though. The first one he requested I sing along to was Sweet Soul Sister by Train. He sang along too, the Hey, Hey parts. The second song the next day was Adam Lambert's Whattaya want from me. Too funny. He also sang along with that song. Most recently, he wanted me to sing Don't Stop Believing by Journey. I thought that was pretty funny cause it's not something we hear often in the car. As hard as I try, I just can't get him interested in two of my current favorites, DJ Got Us Falling in Love, by Usher, and Just a Dream by Nelly.
Here's a Video of him directing all of us to sing "ABC's" in Colorado.

Paula aka Nana aka Nena confessed that she taught Camden to say "Oh Well."
Camden has been talking about hotdogs lately. This confused Brad & I because we never feed him hotdogs or eat them ourselves at home. I finally figured it out he learned it from Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. Goofy says "Hot Dog!" all the time.
Camden likes to tell us when he's crying. As if we didn't notice by all the dramatic tears and wails. He usually cries for a few seconds, then stops, with big crocodile tears in his eyes, and proclaims, "Camden crying!" What a ham.
He is getting pretty manipulative. One example: If he wants something he will say "Elmo's World? (wants to watch Sesame Street) Okay? Okay!" So he asks the questions then gives himself permission! He does this a lot!
Camden loves Dum Dum suckers. He calls them Pops, short for Lollipops. We keep a bag in the pantry, out of reach. A couple of days ago I was in the laundry room and I heard Camden asked Brad for a Pop. Brad told him No. So Camden pushed Brad out of the room into the Den, told him to "Stay Here!" and then came and got me to ask me for a Pop! What a smart little stinker!

I know I have more funny stories to share but that's all I can think of at the moment.
We are potty training and it's going okay. Keep your fingers crossed and say a prayer for us!

Titans Game

Brad and I went to Titans game back in October. He went to several during the season, but this is the only one I attended. It was a beautiful fall day in Late October. Temperatures were so warm we wore shorts! It was pretty windy, as you can see. Here we are waiting for the bus to the stadium.
This is Joel and his son Wyatt. We ran into them in the parking lot. Brad went to several games with him.
Outside the stadium, waiting in line to go in. It was pretty interesting, you had to be patted down to get in. They had separate lines for the men & women, and the women's line was much shorter and faster! I had to wait for Brad for at least 5 minutes after I got in!
The view from our seats. We had amazing seats! The Titans played the Eagles that day. Michael Vick was standing right in front of us on the field.

The Titans really sucked it up the first 3 quarters, then made an amazing comeback in the 4th! The pulled it out to win in the last minute of the game! We really enjoyed the game and I hope to go to more next season!

Snowmaggedon

Alabama has more snow this winter than the past 5 winters put together. Our last big snow event was nicknamed "Snowmaggedon!" We received 7" over night! Some areas near us got up to 11"! School was cancelled for a week! That's just unheard of around these parts. In preparation for Snowmaggedon, Brad and I headed out to find snow pants and snow boots for Camden. After a full day of searching we found a skibib and waterproof "work" boots. We couldn't find any waterproof gloves so we ended up improvising with sandwich bags and duct tape. Here he is getting all geared up to go out in the snow.
Trying on different hats.
The snow falling on the evening of the Jan. 9th.
Look at those big flakes! It snowed so hard, so fast!
Camden insisted that hippo go out in the snow, too. If you look close, you can see hippo peeking out of Camden's coat.
There's hippo right under Camden's chin.
Here's the view of our house and lawn covered in snow.
A few neighbors braved driving on the snow.
Camden & Brad made a giant snowball.

Brad posing in the snow.
The first order of business was to make snow angels!
Camden's snow angel.
Here's me looking like a grinning idiot.
I was so excited to make a snow angel!
Could I look any goofier?
My snow angel.
Camden wanted to walk in the snow, but of course, he walked through the grassy area where it was deepest instead of staying on the sidewalk.
We just had to break out the sled. This sled has been hanging in our garage, never used once, for 10 years! We didn't have a rope to pull it with so we improvised with a jump rope.
Camden liked being pulled around on the sled.
It was kind of hard work for mommy & daddy, though. The snow was thick and crunchy on top.
Camden liked lying on his back to ride the best.
He insisted on "pulling" us around, too. We let him pull the sled and kind of crab walked over it.
After a while the novelty wore off and we headed inside to warm up.
Camden loves to relax in Grand Daddy's chair (who he now calls P Pa) and "play iPad."

Oh Well

Camden has been saying and doing the funniest things lately. Sometimes it takes us days or weeks to figure out where he picks these things up. Lately he's been saying, "Oh well," whenever something doesn't go right. It is so funny and we finally caught it on video tonight.

This kid cracks us up!

Leggo my Lego Bag!

Oh my Gosh, I can't believe it's been so long since I last posted! Sorry for the long dry spell! You know how it si: birthdays, Christmas, New Year's, New Orleans, Snowmaggedon, Vail... We have just been super busy! Not to mention trying to keep up with an energetic 2 year old! I am just going to start posting pictures and videos willy-nilly so forgive the lack of chronology.
This is from our week long visit to Brad's sister, LaVina, in Eagle, CO. We had such a good time visiting with their family!
My old sony camera is on it's last legs, so please forgive the blurriness. These were too cute not to post!
