3 Months Old!

Here are a few comparison shots to show how much Camden has grown:
3 Months, 1 Month, 1 Week

What a sweet face! So serious, yet questioning.

Camden has so many cute facial expressions now.
He always looks like he's up to something or has a secret.

Tummy Time

We have been working harder on our tummy time. Naturally, Camden doesn't like it very much. At first he would just scream and suck on his hand. Yesterday, he finally put forth a good effort at lifting his head and did not cry. He actually lifted his head up more than this, but I didn't get a picture.

Starting out, just laying there...
Thinking about lifting up...
Look Mom, I'm doing it!
Getting tired, sucking on his arm...
Worn out, sucking on his hand.

Day at the Beach

Today we went to the beach. It was a lot of work getting Camden down to the beach by myself. That's what Daddys are for! But we made it and got some cute pictures, so it was worth it. Of course, the first thing I did was lay Camden down right in the sand. Not very smart on part. It's even harder to get sand off a baby than it is to get it off yourself! I think Camden was a little too young to understand what was going on, but he didn't seem to mind the sand or the sun. We followed up with a trip to the infamous Red Bar in Grayton.

Beach trip with Granddaddy!

Brad recently changed to a new contract that requires him to travel to Isreal. He left for his first trip on Oct. 30 and will return Nov. 8. Since he missed Halloween we did all of our Halloween festivities early. While Brad is out of the country, I decided to head to the beach with Camden and my Dad. Here is a picture of Camden strapped into the RV, ready for his second road trip (first in the rv) and a picture of Dad and Camden enjoying lunch at Harbor Docks. Moments after this picture was taken Camden started screaming! Apparently it was his lunch time too! He decided to have a growth spurt this particular day. He went from 3 feedings a day to 5! Everytime I think I have his schedule down pat, he decides to mix it up! Anyway, Dad kindly gobbled down the rest of his lunch so he could feed Camden and I could finish my lunch. Dad has really been great with Camden this week, helping with feedings and keeping him calm while I shop. I am so grateful for this time with Dad and Camden. They are really getting some quality time together and I am somewhat distracted while Brad is out of the country. There's nothing better than chilling at the beach and good seafood!

New Tricks

Camden has just now started taking an interest in the toys on his bouncy seat. Before he only looked at the lights and the waterfall, and occassionally would bump the toys accidentally. Well, last night, Camden took an interest in the parrot hanging down. He figured out how to spin it around! It was a very proud moment for Mommy!

Halloween Costume

We dressed Camden up in his costume on Wednesday since we were going to be out of town for Halloween. Camden looked so cute dressed up as a dragon, but he didn't like it very much. I think it was because the headpiece framed his face so tightly that when he turned his head he couldn't see anything! So despite our best efforts we didn't get a perfect picture. Here he is in all his cuteness. Hopefully next year we will get to go trick or treating!

Haunted Houses

Tuesday night we made Rice Krispy Haunted Houses. It was from a kit I picked up at Target and it was so easy! Brad and I had fun decorating them while Camden watched. Next year Camden will be able to decorate his own!

New Bicycles

Last Sunday, Oct. 26, Brad decided he wanted to get a new bicycle. So the three of trooped down to Walmart and picked out two new schwinns for Mommy & Daddy, and a trailer for Camden. After some effort we got the trailer put together, bundled Camden up in his car seat, and we were off! I had forgotten how fun it is to ride bikes! So far we have only ridden around our small neighborhood, but we have plans to branch out into Dug Hill Estates, and even go up on the mountain to ride. This should be a fun family activity for years to come.
