Playdate with Riley

Yesterday we had a playdate with our friends Sonia and Riley. Riley will be 3 in October. He also has a new baby brother, Evan, but I didn't get any pictures of that little cutie pie. It was so fun to see Camden playing with all of Riley's toys. He made a beeline for his tricycle. He had never been on one before, but he knew just what to do!

He put his feet right on the pedals and started pedaling!

He amazes me. How does he know to do that?! Look how proud he is of himself!

He is a budding rock star.

Again, he's never seen a guitar before, but he picked it up and started playing it!

He's got flair!

Then he found a real guitar! He grabbed this orange doo dad and started it using it like a pick!

So clever!

At one point, Riley grabbed the orange doo dad, held it up to his eye and got right up to Camden's eye, looking through it. It was so cute, but I didn't get a picture! They were nose to nose!

Riley helped Camden with his fireman's helmet.

It's so funny to watch them at this age. They do more "parallel play" than actual interacting.

Riley is quite the budding hockey star. His daddy is a hockey player. Riley scored quite a few goals!

Camden had to ride on or sit in every toy Riley had. He knew to wear the cowboy hat while riding the horsey!

He also liked playing with this train set.

We had such a good time hanging out with Riley, Evan & Sonia! We can't wait to do it again soon!
